Mr. Wiseman has over fifteen years of experience in water, wastewater and civil engineering projects. He has been involved in all phases of large projects, serving as the lead engineer during project analysis, planning, design, and construction.
Curt joined Kuehl and Payer, Ltd. in 1994 and has been a principal in the firm since 1996. He has served many municipal, county, state and private organizations over a wide area of north central and northwest Iowa.
Public Facility Projects
Mr. Wiseman has served as project manager for a wide variety of water and wastewater projects: including the planning, design and construction management of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, swimming pools, a large rural water system, wells, water main construction, sanitary sewer construction, subdivisions, pumping stations, and all related infrastructure.
Curt’s past water and wastewater projects have included those funded by CDBG, the Iowa DNR SRF program, and USDA Rural Development. Included in Curt’s design and construction experience are water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades and new construction. Water treatment design has included iron and manganese removal, softening, pumping, storage, and distribution systems. Wastewater treatment projects have included collection system improvements, pumping systems, treatment plant upgrades, and new construction of controlled discharge lagoon facilities.
Infrastructure Projects
Mr. Wiseman has also served as project manager for a wide variety of infrastructure projects. Examples include street construction projects of both portland cement concrete and asphalt cement concrete, airport improvements, storm sewers, industrial parks and subdivisions for communities throughout Iowa. Curt was also the project manager for the Iowa Great Lakes Spine Trail which included a bridge.
Infrastructure projects for which Mr. Wiseman has had both design and management responsibility include the various phases of subdivision construction, such as platting, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, site design, streets, easements and other utilities. He has also prepared or supervised preparation of numerous special assessment plats and schedules.
Curt’s previous experience includes 2 1/2 years in the Peace Corps in Honduras, Central America. During that time, he planned, surveyed, designed, and supervised construction of potable water systems for 25 communities in the remote mountains of Honduras.
